Swansea are on home soil for the second time in a week as they face an in-form Southampton side. Swansea have improved in form over the last four games, and have not lost. However, they have picked up two draws, conceding mainly due to set pieces, something which Francesco Guidolin has insisted his side need to improve on.

Southampton sit in third position on the Premier League form table, having not lost in five games. Their last defeat was a 1-0 loss to relegation-threatened Norwich. Southampton sit in 7th position in the league table.

Last time Swansea played Southampton at the Liberty, Victor Wanyama was the lone goalscorer for Southampton, and Swansea lost the game 1-0 after Wifried Bony’s red card.

Swansea have one injury worry for the game, South Korean midfielder Ki Sung-Yueng was concussed during the West Brom game, however he is expected to be fit.

There could also be appearances for new signings Alberto Paloschi, who started the game against Crystal Palace, and we could see an appearance for on-loan midfielder Leroy Fer.

Southampton will be without Victor Wanyama who picked up a red card against West Ham last week, however there is still a strong strike force with the likes of Sadio Mane, Charlie Austin and Graziano Pelle.

Even more cause for concern is that Southampton have not conceded in their last five games, mainly thanks to a strong defence, and having Fraser Forster in goal. However, with Gylfi Sigurdsson in strong scoring form recently, will we find a way through?
