Manchester United legend Bryan Robson has claimed that Premier League strugglers Swansea City are too good to go down.
The Swans sit just above the Premiership relegation zone, and face three crucial games against Norwich City, Bournemouth and Aston Villa in the coming weeks.
Despite enduring a very disappointing 2015/16 season, Robson – who made just shy of 400 appearances for Man United – has said to the BBC that Francesco Guidolin’s side have a strong squad that’s capable of staying in the top-flight.
I just think Swansea have too many good players to go down.
It is about which teams hold their nerve and believe in themselves.
You can only focus on your own job though, you can’t worry about the teams around you.
Beat your rivals and it is more than likely to you escape.
After Wednesday’s clash at the Emirates Stadium against Arsenal, the Swans face three relegation rivals on the trot, with two home ties with Norwich and Aston Villa, as well as a tricky trip to Bournemouth on 12th March.
After the trio of crucial games, Swansea face the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City at home, with away matches at Leicester, Stoke, Newcastle and West Ham.
It’ll be tough, but we’ll soon see if Bryan Robson is right.
