Swans interested in Feyenoord midfielder
Swansea City are monitoring Feyenoord midfielder Tonny Vilhena, according to the Daily Mail.
Vilhena is a Dutch central midfielder who plays for Eredivisie club Feyenoord. The 21-year-old made his debut for the club back in 2012, and has sine made 104 appearances, asserting himself as a crucial player for Rotterdam outfit.
The Dutch under-21 international has scored eight goals and has acquired eight assists for Feyenoord this season, and has now attracted the interest of several Premier League clubs including Swansea, Leicester, Southampton, West Brom and Sunderland.
A deadly free-kick taker, Vilhena predominantly plays in the centre of midfield, but can also comfortably feature as an attacking midfielder or even a winger.
The Swans are looking to sign some new players in the summer in order to avoid another disappointing Premier League season like 2015/16. There are positions that Swansea need to prioritise in strengthening in the summer transfer window, like in the striker and full-back department, however the possible capture of Vilhena would definitely be a good signing.
