Stephen Kingsley called up to Scotland squad
Swansea City defender Stephen Kingsley has been called up to play for the Scotland international team in friendlies this summer.
The Scottish team have missed out on the Euro 2016 competition this summer, and are the only UK nation to miss out.
Scotland face Italy and France on the 29th May and the 4th June, respectively.
The 21-year-old has been promising in the games that he has played for Swansea this season, and has not made many mistakes. He played in the 2-1 win against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, and also helped Swansea to a 4-1 win at the Boleyn Ground against West ham. He also earned an assist in that game.
Kingsley has had previous experience at international level, with the Scotland under-18 (Two appearances), under-19 (Six appearances) and under-21 (five appearances) teams. He did not score in those games, however that is normal for a defender anyway.
In my opinion, Kingsley fully deserves this opportunity. He has been faultless in the games that he played for Swansea last season, and should take this experience to an international level.
