Leon Britton going nowhere this summer
Swansea City midfielder Leon Britton is going nowhere this summer, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post’s chief football writer, Phil Hay.

This comes after reports that Garry Monk wanted to sign Britton for his new team, Leeds United.
However – even if it was going to be a very shocking move to the Championship – the Swansea legend is expecting to sign a new contract at the Liberty Stadium, along with right-back Angel Rangel.
Britton and Rangel’s current contracts expire next summer, which could see them depart South Wales for free this time next year. Although, Francesco Guidolin wants the duo to stay put, viewing them as crucial figures in the Swansea squad.
Monk is tring to mold his new Leeds team into his own, aiming to bring some players he’s previously worked with to Elland Road for the 2016/17 season. The former Swans captain has already been highly linked to Kyle Bartley, as well as Britton.
