It’s that time of the year again, and in anticipation for the upcoming 2016/17 Premier League season, everyone’s now setting up their new Fantasy Football teams.
For those of you who don’t know what it is, it’s an online game where you get a £100 million budget and with that money you get to make your own team with the best Premier League talents about.
Through every real life game, the players you’ve picked will pick up points for goals, assists, clean sheets, saves etc. They also decrease in points for goals conceded, cards and own goals.
You’re only allowed a maximum of three players from each top-flight team in your squad of 15 – but despite the three players from each club rule, here we’ll take you through five Swansea City players you should consider in your fantasy team for next season (using the official Premier League Fantasy Football).
Do you agree with these five? Or are there any other Swansea players that should also be considered? Let us know via Twitter or Facebook and tell us what Swans players have made your fantasy team.
Andre Ayew
Ayew was Swansea’s best points scorer in last season’s edition, bagging 171 points. At £7.5 million, Ayew is set for another great season in Wales and could be well worth the money.
Gylfi Sigurdsson
Sigurdsson was another top performer last season, and was up there with the best midfielders in the league. He scored 158 points, and costing just £7.5 million the Iceland star wouldn’t be a bad option.
Jefferson Montero
With regular game-time, Montero is a brilliant performer – and could be for your fantasy team too. At just £5.5 million, the winger could prove to be a bargain if he can get the assists like we know he can.
Stephen Kingsley
Valued at just £4 million, Kingsley is the joint lowest costing player in the game. However, if he continues to progress and beats Neil Taylor for a starting spot at left-back, Kingsley could be a great pick. He’s shown his attacking qualities and could get a handful of assists next season, which is brilliant for points.
Modou Barrow
Barrow is also very cheap at £5 million. The Gambian is very much liked by Francesco Guidolin and could be set for regular game-time. If he improves his stats from last season – perhaps picking up a few more goals and assists – why not put Barrow in your team.
