Striker Bafetimbi Gomis is edging closer to a permanent departure from Swansea City, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
The French forward has enjoyed a successful loan spell at Marseille this season, banging in 20 goals for the Ligue 1 outfit.
However, despite his good form in the 2016/17 campaign, it’s looking very likely that Gomis will not be given a second chance at the Liberty and will be moving to Turkish giants Galatasaray this summer.
The 31-year-old is set on his move to Turkey having accepted a two-year contract – the only thing left to seal the deal is the final transfer fee, which is currently being discussed between the Swans and Galatasaray.
Swansea are desperately trying to keep hold of star striker Fernando Llorente in the summer transfer window, especially with record-signing Borja Baston’s future unclear at the moment.
However, despite the uncertainty, many fans will agree that keeping a near 32-year-old Gomis at the club wouldn’t be a great solution if either of the aforementioned duo do depart.
