Swansea City are looking to sign Fulham right-back Ryan Fredericks in the January transfer window, according to the BBC.
The Swans are chasing another full-back to provide competition for Kyle Naughton, Angel Rangel and Martin Olsson – with the versatile Fredericks sounded out as a suitable signing.
The 25-year-old is out of contract at Craven Cottage in the summer and will be availbale for a cut price fee of around £3 million this January.
Despite being a regular for Fulham this season and last, Slavisa Jokanovic would rather get a fee for Fredericks now than face losing him for nothing in the summer.
A pacy and attacking full-back, Fredericks came up through the Tottenham Hostpur academy and has spent time on loan at Brentford, Middlesbrough and Millwall, as well as a short stint at Bristol City.
It’s said that Swansea are firm favourites to tie up a deal for the former England under-19 international and it must also be said that full-back is definitely an area that the club needs to improve on and add depth into.
