Former Swansea City star Leighton James says that winger Modou Barrow will become a star for the Swans next season.

Barrow has been very bright in a white shirt this season, with his electric pace and brilliant trickery proving to be a real problem for opposing left-backs.

Now, in his column in the South Wales Evening Post, James – who made 88 appearances for Swansea – has claimed that Barrow can be ‘a real star in 2016/17’.

Mo Barrow is going to be a Swansea City star next season.

The winger has already caught the eye with a number of impressive performances, mainly from the bench. But I see so much more potential in Barrow — he could be a real star in 2016-17.

The lad looks to have become a lot stronger based on recent showings.

Barrow joined Swansea from Swedish side Ostersunds in the summer of 2014, and has become a real prospect since making an impressive debut in a home win against Arsenal in November 2014.

The 23-year-old Gambian international has been used quite often this season for the Swans – mainly from the bench, with his energy and speed a huge asset against tired full-backs.
