Liverpool teenager Yan Dhanda has said he had to leave Liverpool due to a lack of playing time, according to the Liverpool Echo.

The attacking midfielder has joined Swansea on a permanent deal in an attempt to play regular first-team football.

The Reds signed the 19-year-old from West Brom in 2013 and he mainly played U23’s football during his time at Anfield.

The former England U17 international spoke about the reasons for his move to North Wales:

I wasn’t really getting a chance at Liverpool and I wanted to come somewhere where I hope I will have a better chance to play in the first team. I want to show what I can do.

Yan Dhanda has penned a two year deal with the Swans and is likely to get plenty of first team minutes given they are now a Championship side.

Liverpool released a statement wishing the midfielder the best of luck for the future.
